President Adolf Schaerf, and most other members of Austria’s Government here, sent congratulations and special New Year messages to Austria’s Jewish community. Most messages refer to the fact that “decisive progress” has been made during the last year in negotiations to enact a law providing restitution to former victims of Nazism in this country.
