President Anwar Sadat of Egypt said that there were “many secret facts” in Egypt’s relations with the United States “which indicate beyond doubt that there is a basic change in American policy toward peace and the establishment of a balanced relationship” between the Arabs and Israel. However, “the time has not come to reveal them,” Sadat said in an interview with the BBC’s Arabic Service monitored here. He added that the U.S. Is now searching for peace and a peaceful settlement of the Mideast crisis “where as in the past the United States was completely biased in favor of Israel.”
