President Bush named a new adviser on faith-based initiatives. Jay Hein, who has worked at a number of conservative think tanks, specializes in the inclusion of faith-based groups in administering social reform. He succeeds James Towey, who resigned in April to teach and who had a good working relationship with the Jewish community.
