President Bush suspended sanctions against Libya. The lifting of 18-year-old sanctions on trade, air travel and Libyan assets in the United States will go into effect Tuesday. Israeli officials have said they are skeptical about the commitment to peaceful reform by Libya, which has been a longtime supporter of Palestinian terrorism.
