Bush made his comments Monday in France before leaving for the Mideast, where he will attend summits in Egypt with Arab leaders on Tuesday, and in Jordan with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and his Palestinian counterpart, Mahmoud Abbas, on Wednesday.
