President Clinton met with American Jewish leaders at the White House on Sunday to express his commitment to the peace process. Clinton dropped by unexpectedly at what was originally billed as a meeting with senior administration officials to mark the fifth anniversary of the Oslo accords. The Jewish leaders told Clinton that the overwhelming majority of American Jews support the accords and continued U.S. involvement in the peace process.
