President Clinton signed legislation authorizing the release of thousands of classified U.S. files on Nazi war criminals. The Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act, which Congress approved unanimously, creates a new multi-agency working group to locate, identify, inventory and recommend for release by the National Archives all classified information held by the government on Nazi war criminals.
