President of Bombed Miami Synagogue Appeals to U.S. Senators

The president of the bombed Miami synagogue today appealed to Senators Holland and Smathers of Florida to seek a Justice Department investigation of the explosion. “As long as no one ever is punished for these outrages, they will continue, ” said Sidney H. Palmer, president of Beth El Congregation.

Meanwhile, Rep. Isidore Dollinger, New York Democrat, today sent a communication to Attorney General William P. Rogers urging Federal authorities to take “initiative and leadership” in bringing to justice those who bombed Jewish centers in Nashville and Miami.
