The Ecuador-Israel Institute of Cultural Relations organized a gala performance in honor of Ecuador’s President, Jose Maria Velasco Ibarra, with the participation of a group of Argentinian chalutzim who are now touring Latin America on their way to Israel.
The performance, at which the chalutzim presented Israeli dances and songs, was attended by the President, the Vice President, members of the Cabinet and of the diplomatic corps. President Velasco Ibarra was greeted from the stage by Dr. Max Weiser, Israel’s Honorary Consul in Ecuador.
