President Ben-Zvi of Israel was given an enthusiastic welcome today in upper Burma when he arrived accompanied by the President of Burma, Ne Win.
The Israel President was presented with flowers and a performance by Burmese youth who danced the Horah and sang Israel songs. President Ben-Zvi later made a short cruise on the Irraway River to see the Sagaing hills which are the sites of many pagodas and monasteries. During the visit to Northern Burma, Mr. and Mrs. Ben-Zvi will stay in the summer palace of the Burmese President.
