President Adolfo Lopez Mateos attended a circumcision party here at the home of a personal friend, Jacob Lasky. The Mexican Chief of State was honored by Mr. and Mrs. Lasky with a part in the ritual, acting as the baby’s godfather. It is believed here that this was the first time that the President of the Republic participated actively in a strictly Jewish ceremony.
