President Truman today sent a message to King Abdullah of Transjordan, which reads: “On the occasion of the feast of ‘Id Al Adha’ I send to Your Majesty and to the people of Transjordan the greetings and good wishes of the people of the United States.”
The U.S. Government has had under consideration for some time the question of recognition for Transjordan, but no decision has yet been made, State Department press officer Michael J. McDermott said last night.
