President Weizmann’s 76th Birthday Celebrated with Simple Ceremony at Home

President Chaim Weizmann’s 76th birthday was today celebrated modestly at his residence at Rehovoth. The simple ceremony was attended by members of the Cabinet, Parliament and representatives of the diplomatic corps and the Israel armed forces.

Esther Herritz, Deputy Director of the Israel Foreign Ministry’s U.S. Department, was today appointed First Secretary of the Israel Embassy in Washington. Eliezer Yapou was named First Secretary of the Israel legation in London.
