Jews throughout the country are cooperating whole-heartedly with the National Committee for the birthday ball for the affairs taking place in 5,000 cities and towns in the United States today.
“Every national Jewish organization joined the ranks. Many have already sent in contributions. Their letters endorsing our programs have been a source of satisfaction,” David H. Gross, in charge of Jewish organizations at the Nations at the National Committee, said yesterday.
In the city, Binai B’rith held a birthday ball in honor of the President at the Astor Sunday ‘evening, More than 1,000 attended. Proceeds will go to the Warm Springs Foundation. Keith Morgan, chairman of the national committee addressed the group.
HORACE KALLEN ADDRESSES BKLYN. JUNIOR FEDERATION
Dr. Horace M. Kallen, lecturer on psychology and philosophy at the New School for Social Research, spoke last night at the meeting of the Junior Federation of Brooklyn, in the augditorium of Temple Beth Elohim, Brooklyn.
More than a thousand listeners heard Dr. Kallen’s address which was largely draw from the American Jewish Congress’ pamphlet. “Struggle for Jewish Unity.” Irving P. Kantell, president of the Junior group, presided.
