The Presidents’ Conference, a consultative forum of 17 national Jewish organizations, has elected Philip M. Klutznick, president of B’nai B’rith, its chairman. This was described as a first step toward “regularizing” the structure of the group.
Mr. Klutznick was the unanimous choice of 16 other presidents in accordance with the conference rule of unanimous consent in all of its joint actions. He succeeds Dr. Nahum Goldmann who has served as head of the informal Presidents’ group since its founding in 1954.
