Reversing its previous decision to hold its investigation into the Palestine outbreak behind closed doors, the Commission of Inquiry today decided to admit four newspaper men, one representative each of the Hebrew, Arabic and British press, and a representative of the foreign press. The number was restricted to four press representatives because of the limited accommodations, the Commission declared in making the announcement. Each section will select one representative who will late report to his group. The admission ticket is transferable.
The decision to admit the press representatives was reached after discussion with the counsel representing the Arabs, Zionists and the government. The reversal of the Commission’s decision was due, it is stated. to the representations made to H. C. Luke, Civil Secretary. last week by a reputation of journalists composed of Gershon Agronsky. Jacob Fishman and Mr. Memory.
