The exponents of the movement for the prevention of cruelty to animals in England have called a large mass meeting for April 7th. They intend at this meeting to urge the British Government to pass a law calling for more humane methods in killing animals.
The leader of this movement, Lady Hamilton, is known as an opponent of the Jewish Shechita. She has been successful in gaining the support of many influential members of the three parties in Parliament, and several of them have promised to address the coming meeting.
