Prime Minister Ehud Barak is due to seek Knesset approval Thursday for his expanded Cabinet. At that time, legislators will vote on the following nominations: Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, of the Center Party, as tourism minister; Chaim Oron, of Meretz, as agriculture minister; Matan Vilnai, of the One Israel bloc, as minister of culture, science and sport; and Rabbi Michael Melchior, also of One Israel, as minister without portfolio. Earlier this week, the Knesset approved an amendment enabling Barak to expand his current 18-member Cabinet.
