Prime Minister Jan Christian Smuts headed an impressive delegation of government leaders who participated in memorial services in the Great Synagogue here for Morris Alexander, veteran South African legislator, who died last month. The American minister, as well as consuls of various countries, attended. Speakers emphasized Alexander’s notable services to the building of the Union of South Africa.
