The printing trade in the Reich has declined fifty per cent, resulting in loss of employment for 45,000 workers, a conference of printing workers was informed here.
Speakers attributed the decline to “the elimination of Jewish literature,” the “unification of the German press,” and the decrease of exports. It was emphasized that no improvement could be expected during 1936.
