Prisoner releases and disarming terrorist groups were the main subjects of a meeting between Ariel Sharon and Mahmoud Abbas. Meeting with the Palestinian prime minister in Jerusalem on Sunday, Sharon reportedly said Israel would consider withdrawing from additional Palestinian cities if the Palestinian Authority presents a clear plan for taking control of them. Abbas insisted again on the release of Palestinian security prisoners in Israeli hands. He also asked for lifting of roadblocks in Palestinian cities.
