Sano Mach, former Minister of the Interior in the Nazi-controlled puppet state of Slovakia was today sentenced to 30 years imprisonment by a Czechoslovak court in Bratislava.
Tens of thousands of Slovakian Jews were deported to death camps under Mach’s direction. He was also responsible for the enforcement of anti-Jewish legislation. ?ach was tried on charges of collaboration together with former Premier Josef Tiso, who was hanged.
