Deportation from Danzig of Theodor Loewy, correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in the Free City, was a subject of inquiry at today’s session in the House of Commons.
Col. Josiah Wedgwood, Laborite Member, asked whether the British government has any information about the deportation of the correspondent, who, in addition to being editor of the Danziger Echo, represented the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, Ltd., a British enterprise.
Under-Secretary Colville replied that no official information has been received as yet by the Foreign Office on this matter. “I understand, however, that Loewy was expelled from Danzig as an undesirable alien,” the Under-Secretary said.
