Jewish education leaders evaluated a wide range of problems at a two-day western regional conference under auspices of the American Association for Jewish Education which ended here today.
Isaac Toubin, association executive director, discussed major problems in Jewish education facing western communities. Other problems studied by educators from California, Washington and Arizona included problems of recruitment and retention of teachers and principals, continuity of Jewish education on the high school level, education problems of small Jewish communities, inter-community cooperation and the role and responsibility of the Jewish community in Jewish education, according to Isadore Breslau, association president.
