Proceedings resumed Sunday against an Israeli Arab lawmaker for allegedly supporting a terrorist group. The charges against Knesset member Azmi Beshara relate to two speeches he made last year, one of them in Syria, allegedly praising Hezbollah’s guerrilla warfare against Israel and encouraging Palestinians to adopt similar tactics.
