Proclamations Urging Arabs to Strike Are Confiscated As Arab Leaders Protest

A protest against the government’s confiscation of, proclamations calling for an Arab strike Saturday, was adopted by the Arab Executive today. The Executive decided to carry out the strike plans, publishing a statement of its decision in place of the confiscated proclamations.

The Arab Executive decided on the strike to protest against the recent reprieve of Joseph Mizrachi Urphali, Jew, whose death sentence was recently commuted to ten years’ imprisonment, and to commemorate the commencement of the riots of 1929.
