Professor Franz Boehm, who was one of four winners of the American Jewish Congress’ Stephen Wise Awards announced last week, has donated the $1,000 prize connected with that award to the local Jewish community, it was learned here today.
Prof. Boehm headed the West German team at the reparations negotiations with Israel at The Hague three years ago. He is widely credited with having broken the back of the “client opposition” aimed at sabotaging those negotiations.
