Prof. Martin Buber, the noted Jewish philosopher, denied today that he had made statements on his recent visit to Germany advocating Jewish-German rapprochement.
Prof. Buber told newspapermen today that he had merely told friends in Germany that he did not think it right that Jews should hats Germans as such. Every German, he said, should be treated as an ordinary human being provided there is no proof that he had lost human qualities. This does not mean that what had happened in Germany could never be forgotten, he added.
