Prof. Martin Buber and Dr. Irving Agus have been awarded the annual $400 prizes given by the Louis Lamed Fund for the best Jewish books of the year published in English, it was announced today by the jury composed of Dr. Solomon Grayzel, Ludwig Lewisohn and Dr. N. R. Glazer.
Prof. Buber was given the award for his “Tales of the Hassidim” published by Schocken Books. Dr. Agus received the prize for his volume on Rabbi Meir of Rotenburg published by Dropsie College.
