Professor Franz Peter William Buhl, famous Old Testament and Hebraic scholar died here today at the age of eighty-two.
Professor Buhl, a non-Jew, was widely known for his scholarly works on the Old Testament.
He was a professor of Semitic languages in the University of Copenhagen from 1898 to 1922 when he retired, becoming Professor Emeritus. He also served as Professor of the Old Testament at the University of Leipzig.
