Announcement will be made this week of the selection of Prof. Arthur H. Compton, noted physicist and Nobel Prize winner, as co-chairman of the National Conference of Jews and Christians to succeed the late Newton D. Baker, it was learned today.
Dr. Compton is Professor of Physics at the University of Chicago. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1927. He is a leader in many scientific and scholarly organizations and author of several standard works on physics, particularly in the field of radiology.
