Professor Albert Einstein will be the guest of honor at a luncheon Monday noon at the Hotel Commodore marking the commencement of publication of the new, enlarged issue of the Jewish Daily Bulletin, the only Jewish daily newspaper printed in English.
Leaders in the field of journalism and in Jewish communal life will attend the luncheon.
Prior to the luncheon, Professor Eiustein will visit the plant of the Jewish Daily Bulletin at 221 Centre Street.
The Jewish Daily Bulletin, commencing with its Tuesday morning issue, will appear in tabloid-size format and will be available daily on newsstands in the metropolitan area. Heretofore, the publication has been available by mail only, by subscription, except for the Sunday Edition, which made its appearance on the newsstands last April.
The paper, as in the past, will not identify itself with any partisan viewpoint and will continue to be a faithful recorder of events in the Jewish world. Through the Jewish Telegraphic Agency service and its own correspondents, the Jewish Daily Bulletin will present a complete picture daily of Jewish life in all parts of the world.
Announcement was made by Jacob Landau, publisher of the Jewish Daily Bulletin, that Herman Bernstein, former United States Minister to Albania, and outstanding editor and journalist, had been appointed editor of the newspaper.
