committee investigating the Reichstag fire and protesting the unauthorized use of his name was issued here by Professor Albert Einstein.
“I have read in several newspapers,” Professor Einstein declared to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, “accounts giving my name as president of the committee investigating the Reichstag fire in connection with the forthcoming trial. I am extremely surprised over these reports from which I, for the first time, learned of the committee’s existence.
“Although generally I do not take notice of false reports appearing in the press about myself, on this occasion I consider it important to lodge a formal protest.”
