Prof, Fritz Feigl, an eminent bio-chemist and president of Brazil’s Jewish Community Federation, died here yesterday at the age of 79. Prof. Feigl was born in Vienna and came to Brazil in 1940. He was the author of 600 works in his field and held more than two dozen medals, awards and honorary memberships from scientific institutions in 14 countries. Among the latter were the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovoth and the Vatican Academy of Science.
