Prof. Felix Frankfurter, of Harvard University, leads the list of the legal profession’s preferences for membership in the Supreme Court if a new justice were named, according to a poll conducted by the American Institute of Public Opinion.
A “cross-section” of the profession, including 5,000 lawyers, were polled and asked: “Is there anyone you would like to see named to the Supreme Court? If so, who?” Prof. Frankfurter was mentioned by the highest number.
