The sixtieth birthday of Professor Moses Schorr, famous Polish Jewish orientalist, is being celebrated today by Polish Jewry with celebrations all over the country. Professor Schorr occupies the chair of Semitic Philology at the University of Warsaw and is rector of an Institute of Science and Judaism.
He is one of the most distinguished Jewish scholars in Poland. He was born in Przemysl, May 10, 1874. He was educated at the Universities of Vienna, Lemberg, Berlin and at the Jewish Theological Seminary in Vienna.
