Prof. Sara Groll, chairman of the Hebrew University’s Egyptology department, is looking forward to visiting the sites in Egypt that have figured prominently in her academic work. She believes that with Israel and Egypt now working toward a peace settlement she may soon be able to fulfill that desire. Groll also expects increased contacts with American and European Egyptologists who have been many of any links with their Israeli counterparts in the past for fear of offending the Egyptian authorities. “For many years we had the feeling of being out costs but I believe that now this will change,” she said.
