Prof. Selman Waksman, the American Jewish scientist, who won a Nobel Prize for his contributions toward the development of vital antibiotics, will receive an honorary degree here tomorrow from the Brazilian University of Rio de Janeiro. He will also, at the same time, be inducted as an honorary member of the Brazilian Academy of Medicine.
Prof. Waksman will arrive here tomorrow for a seven-day visit as a guest of the Latin American executive of the World Jewish Congress. After his stay in this country he will also visit Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.
