The Rio de Janeiro municipal council, by unanimous vote, today made Prof. Bernard Zondek, world famous Israel gynecologist, an honorary citizen of this city.
Prof. Zondek, who is currently visiting this country as a guest of the Brazil-Israel Institute of Culture, was also awarded an honorary degree by the University of Brazil in a special ceremony today.
