The noted American-Jewish educator and author of Hebrew text books, Professor Zvi Sharfstein, was among the three Jewish educators who today received the Tel Aviv Education Awards for 1965.
The two other recipients were the veteran Israeli educator Dr. Baruch Ben-Yehuda, principal of the Herzliya Secondary School in Tel Aviv and Mrs. Yehudit Harari, a retired Israeli school teacher. Professor Sharfstein declared upon receiving the award–IL 1,500–that he would donate it to the library now being established at Teacher’s House, a center for educators here.
