Professor Albert Einstein does not believe in spirits or spiritualism. Indeed he would be very happy if all his fellowmen were of the same opinion.
Professor Einstein makes this declaration in a communication addressed to a Viennese woman who wrote asking his beliefs on these subjects. The inquiry was addressed to Professor Einstein after a London spiritualist had asserted that the great scientist was a believer in spirits and had been converted to spiritualism through a medium.
“The London statement,” Professor Einstein wrote, “is utterly without truth.”
