Professor Albert Einstein, author of the theory of relativity, is expected to arrive here next Friday to receive the gold medal awarded him by the British Royal Astronomical Society.

The president of the Society, J. H. Jeans, will deliver a special address enumerating the reasons for awarding the medal to Professor Einstein.

The gold medal of the Royal Astronomical Sodey is the highest honor to which any astronomer can aspire and it is regarded as the blue ribbon of the astronomical world. Professor A. A. Michelson, the American Jewish scientist, who was the forerunner of Einstein, received this medal three years ago.
