Professor Leo Graetz, who holds the chair of experimental physics at Munich University, reached his 75th. birthday this week. The son of the great Jewish historian, Professor Heinrich Graetz, he obtained his appointment as Lecturer at Munich University in 1884, and in 1908 he became Professor. He has published a large number of text books on physics, and his principal work-“Electricity and its Applications”-has run to 23 editions and has been translated into many languages. Unlike his father, Professor Graetz has never shown any interest in Jewish affairs.
