Prof. Meir Weissberg died here at the age of 73. Prof. Weissberg was one of the last surviving leaders of the 19th century Haskalah movement, which advocated the abandonment of Jewish exclusiveness and the acquisition of the knowledge, manners and aspirations of the nations in which Jewry dwelt.
