The Jewish people are fast losing their identity and individuality and many of the admirable qualities which in the past made them great, declared Prof. Robert E. Rogers of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, at a meeting of the Roxbury Y. M. H. A. Religious freedom, tolerance, and lack of persecution are now doing to the Jewish people what persecution and oppression could not do, and the Jews today are trying to merge themselves with the other classes, he said.
