Prohibition is making rapid strides in Eastern Galicia, according to reports in the Ukrainian press here.
Under the existing provisions, separate localities have a right to vote for prohibition of the sale of spirits. Recently a great number of inns were closed in the districts which went dry. One hundred and fifty of these establishments were operated by Jews.
