Leading European students of philosophy and science are on the committee of the Societas Spinozana, which will commemorate the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the death of Baruch Spinoza on February 27, 1927.
Dr. Patin, burgomaster of The Hague, Professor Heymans, Professor Leo Polak, Professor Ignacy Myslicki and Sir Frederick Pollak are among the members of the committee.
It was stated here that the committee will unveil, on February 27, a memorial on the spot behind the new church in The Hague where Spinoza is believed to be buried.
The society is seeking to raise a fund in order to restore the house in The Hague where Spinoza lived and to convert it into a museum, to be known as the Domus Spinozana, where Spinoza literature and relics are to be collected. The house is also to serve as a residence for Spinoza students.
