Prominent Leader of Jewish Women’s Organizations Dies

Mrs. Annie Trosky, president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Hebrew Educational Institute of Brooklyn, died on Monday at her home after a brief illness at the age of 61. Mrs. Trosky, who was the widow of Bernhard Trosky, prominent Brooklyn business man, who died two years ago, was a leader in Jewish women’s organizations in New York, having been at various times the vice-president of the Home of the Daughters of Jacob, the Bronx, president of the Midwood group and former vice-president of the Brooklyn group of Hadassah. Mrs. Trosky was also one of the organizers of the Brooklyn Home for the Aged, Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities, Brownsville and East New York Hospital, Brooklyn Maternity Hospital, and Zionist Organization of America.
