Justice Joseph M. Proskauer, President of the Ninety-second Street Young Men’s Hebrew Association; and Justice living Lehman and Felix M. Warburg, former presidents, were awarded honor keys ” for meritorious achievement and outstanding service in behalf of the association” last night in the auditorium of the building, at the fifty-fourth annual meeting and dinner in celebration of the successful completion of the $1,500,000 campaign for the dormitory building adjoining the present quarters. Honor keys also were awarded to Ellie Banov and Elias L. Cohen for outstanding work as members.
Dr. Samuel Schulman, I. Edwin Goldwasser, manager of the campaign, who presented the honor keys; Justice Irving Lehman, Judge William D. Cunningham, Judge Albert Cohen and George Bronz were the speakers.
The institution spent $99,453,59 in 1927 of which $51,328,85 was contributed by the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, of which the Y.M.H.A. is one of the constituent societies, it was reported at the meeting.
Judge Proskauer announced that a Building Committee has been named, including Sydney O. Crystal. chairman; and. Harry L. Glucksman. Simon Gottschall, Lois C. Levison, William Prager, Henry M. Toch and Hyman Crystal, Necaraulmer and Lebrbach have been named as architects to plan the new building.
