The DP’s and Austrian Jews in this city this year ##lebrated their most plentiful Passover since the beginning of the war because the ##int Distribution Committee supplied 3,600 calories daily for eight days. The various holiday items distributed by the J.D.C. cost about $200,000, it was reported.Seders for Jewish troops and civilian personnel of the U.S. Army in Austria ##re held Friday and Saturday nights. Special menus were prepared by the Quartermaster ##rps, including matzohs that were shipped from New York and kosher wine from Palestine.
